The annual rain here at Cameras Pond is about average; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Cameras Pond is right by the Indian Pass Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Cold River offers some glorious whitewater. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains.       After a long day outdoors Swiss Acres Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and if you've had enough of Cameras Pond, Wallface Ponds is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Mount Pisgah is one of those things you just must do, and the McKenzie Pond Trail offers hiking at its best. Summer at Cameras Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's,                  and nighttime lows at Cameras Pond during the wintertime generally drop into the 0's. Drift down the rapids of Ausable River - West Branch in a kayak, and do take a hike on the Van Hoevenberg Trail. Cameras Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Whiteface Lodge, and the vista of Scarface Mountain is wonderful. Having a splendid time at Cameras Pond is uncomplicated. If you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Craig Wood Golf & Country Club; if you came for an overnight stay Adirondak Loj is a fine place to camp.
