It's always fun to stop by Calamity Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Hanging Spear Falls, and hiking along the Van Hoevenberg Trail is delightful fun. A day on the slopes of Mount Pisgah is just what you need, and the skiing at Whiteface Mountain is great. Through the summertime months, highs typically are in the 70's at Calamity Pond. | | are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Calamity Pond. Drift down the rapids of Boreas River - Upper in a kayak, and Beaver Point is very near and is a wonderful location to pop by. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is bountiful here in the Adirondack Mountains. This is a fine region for people who like lakes. had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great globe it would be. Going for a hike along the Hopkins Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and if you came to camp Whispering Pines Campground is a
brilliant spot to do that. Calamity Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. Algonquin Peak is clearly visible from Calamity Pond; if you need a spot to stay Prague Inn Stes and Cottages is a good choice. This
lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Ausable River - West Branch, and Calamity Pond is right by the Indian Pass Trail. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. Some close by water includes
Cold Brook, and camping at Adirondak Loj is always a splendid experience. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do near Calamity Pond. From a rainfall point of view Calamity Pond is a pretty normal place; most of the rain falls all through August, and February is the month with the least moisture.
