If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mongaup River, and obviously, this is a great area for people who like lakes, Little Pond is a lake close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. Tri-State RV Park is a fine campground nearby; there are pleasant locations to explore along the Peenpack Trail. All the water falling down from the sky       makes Cahoonzie Lake a wet place; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Cahoonzie Lake is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, American Family Campground is a glorious location to camp nearby, and hey, Steeny Kill is a magnificent local stream. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Cahoonzie Lake. Don't leave Cahoonzie Lake without first                  going for a hike along the Lost Cabin Trail, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Port Jervis is a great choice. Lakes are magnificent; Boehmler Pond is a lake that's near Cahoonzie Lake. Delaware River is a fine whitewater spot in the vicinity of Cahoonzie Lake, and Mountain Creek has fine slopes and a friendly staff. Good hiking is available along the Schiff Trail, and Best Western Inn At Hunt's Landing is a great site to get some rest. Summer at Cahoonzie Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's.
