There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Butler Pond. Glide down the rapids of Hudson River in a kayak; Butler Pond is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Adirondack Camping Village is a perfect place to camp nearby.

| | the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Butler Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Butler Pond has to offer, you can camp at Whippoorwill Campsites; Wilkie Reservoir is a nice lake close by. Lake George Hotel is a good spot to get some rest, and on a beautiful day you can go to Haviland Cove Beach.
