Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Chautauqua Creek. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Burr Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at J C's Lakeshore Campgrounds. Burr Reservoir is a reasonably wet place regularly with a large amount of rainfall; of all       the months in a year September is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. While you're here at Burr Reservoir you will meet lots of people from close by Jamestown-Dunkirk-Fredonia; Brocton Reservoir is a great lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Dunkirk Motel is a tremendous choice, and Burr Reservoir is a brilliant site to camp, D J's Campgrounds is a brilliant site. All through the long summer                  days, highs commonly are in the 70's at Burr Reservoir, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Burr Reservoir.
