Whitewater paddling is great on The Branch. A normal amount of rain falls here at Bumbo Pond; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. Throughout the months of summer here at Bumbo Pond, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs       during the wintertime are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Bumbo Pond. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. There's so much to do here at Bumbo Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Medcalf Acres Campsite is a perfect place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Mountain Pines Motel. There's wonderful hiking along the Peaked Hill Trail, and since you're here you have to go to Dark Bay. Now, you may                  believe that's lots but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Bumbo Pond. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Schroon River, and don't leave Bumbo Pond without first going for a hike along the Long Swing Trail. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more entertaining things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. If you came to camp Paradise Pines Camping Resort is a brilliant location to do that, and after a long day outdoors Blue Ridge Motel is a good site to spend a night or two. Bumbo Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. You're in all probability interested in lakes, Cotters Pond is one of those close by, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Burnt Mill Brook. This lake is so wonderful.
