You get a tremendous sight of Balfour Mountain from Bullhead Pond, and the Elk Lake Marcy Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Gore Mountain is a tremendous local ski area, and camping at Cedar Pond Campground is always a pleasant experience. And if that's not enough there's loads more entertaining stuff       to do in the Adirondack Mountains. A brilliant close by hotel is Courtyard Lake Placid, and going for a hike on the Indian Pass Trail is always a great adventure. At Bullhead Pond all through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Bullhead Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. An average amount                  of rain falls at Bullhead Pond; August is when you get the most rain here; February meanwhile is the driest month. Bullhead Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Near Bullhead Pond you discover the Dividing Ridge Trail which is a good hiking trail, and a brilliant place to camp here at Bullhead Pond is Smoke Rise Campsites. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. A lake close by is Roper Pond, and there's whitewater on Boreas River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. This lake is so wonderful.
