Buckhorn Lake is a private Association Lake located 2 miles north of Unadilla, New York (in Otsego County). Very friendly towns folk and this lake holds the New York State Record for a Large Mouth Bass caught in 1994. The lake is fed by many underground springs but is not ery deep. Makes for a lovely, though short drive around it.

     New York has many beautiful lakes and Buckhorn Lake is one of them. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Sacandaga River - West Branch; camping at Campsite is always a magnificent experience. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll go for Buckhorn Lake. If you came to camp Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is a good place to do that, and do explore Oxbow Lake, it's a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Buckhorn Lake you can catch a sight  
   of Brush Mountain.
Buckhorn Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. On a good day you can visit Dead Vly, a swamp next to Buckhorn Lake; a magnificent place for whitewater paddling is Piseco Outlet. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Buckhorn Lake reach the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's with temperatures at Buckhorn Lake dipping down into
 
               the 0's through winter nights.
These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. If you're dropping by Buckhorn Lake from Gloversville, you won't be the only one, and you'll locate a striking lake called Lost Lake. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Sucker Brook Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny. Hiking along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is delightful fun; if you want to hit the beach, Moffit Beach is in the neighborhood.
Buckhorn Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February.

Never been there...going there soon though....l\Love it there, going today. :)...Great spot for swimming in the summer. Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but  all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike....
