Buck Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Robinson's Iga is a perfect local campground. The amount of rainfall that falls at Buck Pond is close to the national average; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. Grass River - North Branch has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you came to       camp Higley Flow State Park is a magnificent place to do that. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western University Inn, and the trees of Taylor Creek State Forest are a brilliant source of shade on hot summer days. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Grass River - Middle Branch; don't leave Buck Pond without first going for a hike along the Post Henderson Trail. A lake nearby is Clear Lake, and Comfort Suites                  Canton is a splendid site to get some rest. But wait, there's more to do near Buck Pond. While you're here at Buck Pond you will meet lots of folks from nearby Ogdensburg-Massena, and Conkey Branch is near Buck Pond and is always a diversion to take a look at. At Buck Pond through the summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's.
