It's always fun to stop by Buck Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of McCauley Mountain is just what you need, and a delightful view of pretty Stone Dam Mountain is available. Don't forget to take a good little visit to Big Brook, and going for a hike along the Stone Dam Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. So many exciting things in the vicinity of Buck Pond, truly fantastic. Cold Brook Campsites is a fine campground nearby; if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail. Having a pleasant time in
the Adirondack Mountains is painless. You could also check out Chub Pond while you're here at Buck Pond; it's nearby; the Twin Lakes Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
