The high level of rain makes Buck Pond a relatively wet location; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Browns Tract Pond State Campground is always a great experience; the Sucker Brook Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is tremendous at McCauley Mountain.

| | Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Buck Pond. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Piseco Outlet. Lakes? Sure, Metcalf Chain of Lakes is in the neighborhood. For the period of the summertime months at Buck Pond highs are usually in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Buck Pond. There's no way anyone can get bored here | |

in the Adirondack Mountains. Beaudry Brook is a wonderful stream that is worth going to, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Metcalf Lake. Near Buck Pond you stumble on the California Trail
which is a fine hiking trail, and get soaked paddling on Indian River. So many entertaining things to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. If you came to camp Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is a great location to do
that, and a range like the Metcalf Range is always striking. The panorama of Buck Pond Mountain from Buck Pond is pretty, and going for a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is always a delightful adventure.
