The amount of precipitation that falls at Buck Mountain Pond is close to the national average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while January is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Buck Mountain Pond is magnificent fun, Craig Harbor Canyon is a magnificent local campground; you can go for a hike on the Lost Pond Trail. Buck Mountain Pond is       located in the Adirondack Mountains. Man, is there loads of cool things to do close to Buck Mountain Pond. Good hiking is available along the Clear Pond Trail, and paddling on Putnam Creek is so much fun. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains. After a long day outdoors Basin Harbor Club is a wonderful location to spend a night or two. A perfect nearby hotel is Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel, and glide down                  the rapids of La Chute River in a kayak. At Buck Mountain Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Buck Mountain Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Yep, outdoors cool things truly is bountiful here in the Adirondack Mountains.
