Broomstick Lake

I have hiked Broomstick Lake many times with my family. Good trail. Total elevation around 900 ft. Total length is marked as .9 ml. First 300 yards are uphill with a good grade lift. There is a nice stream that runs along side the trail for most of the time. It is a bit cold, but we think it taste good. the top of the trail end on a rock outcropping. with a bit of balance you can cross the small stream at trails end and go around the lake to a small camp site
We have had food cooked over an open fire, the kids played in the lake . Cold water even on warm days. We have picked wild blueberries, and have even help the local Indian cucumber population grow. We first picked Indian cucumbers
on our second trip in.Many broke upon the kids first try, but they got better as time went on .The following year their was more cucumbers where the broken ones where. we found larger cucumbers towards the end of July/ August Says David Klinetob
