What a place this is for outdoors folks. If you came to camp Beaver Pond is a tremendous location to do that, and a day on the slopes of Sterling Forest is just what you need. Brooks Lake gets a lot of water; the wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest. Good hiking is available along the Stillwell Lake Trail, and you have to have a look at Doodletown       Bight when you're here. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things near Brooks Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Woodtown Trail; a wonderful spot for whitewater paddling is Moodna Creek. Everybody loves Salisbury Meadow, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Brooks Lake; Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a great local trail. This lake is so wonderful.
