A visit to Briscoe Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Having a glorious time at Briscoe Lake is simple. Why not camp at Swan Lake Camplands since you're here at Briscoe Lake, and you're most likely addicted to lakes, Hunter Lake is one of those close by. At Briscoe Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; during the dark

| | hours in the wintertime at Briscoe Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. Camping is available at Camp Chipinaw Camp Chipinaw; if you've had enough of Briscoe Lake, Birch Ridge Pond is nearby. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Callicoon Creek - North Branch, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Of Liberty. lots of fun at Island Glen Country Club. Briscoe Lake is a wet spot that gets a good deal of rainfall; during August this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Callicoon Creek - East Branch
has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby, and close by you hit upon the Schiff Trail which is a fine hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. From Briscoe Lake you obtain a fine vista of East Hill, and Holiday Mountain has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff.
