    If you are in Rockland county it's always a good idea to stop by Breakneck Pond. On a nice day at Breakneck Pond you can take a hike along the Breakneck Ridge Trail, and if the weather is wonderful, you acquire a magnificent panorama of Big Hill from Breakneck Pond. A visit to Old Sebago Beach near Breakneck Pond is always a great idea, and what would winter be without some skiing at Sterling Forest.
High temperatures at Breakneck Pond during the months of
 
   summer are in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Breakneck Pond temperatures plunge to the 10's. Lots of precipitation falls at Breakneck Pond; most of the rain falls during May, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There is a brilliant hiking trail right next door to Breakneck Pond called the Woodtown Trail, and  
               picturesque scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Mt. Peter.
Popolopen Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and do pop by Beaver Pond Brook while you're here at Breakneck Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Suffern, Ny is a delightful spot to get some rest; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ramapo River. A great spot to camp here at Breakneck Pond is Robert Moses, and New Sebago Beach is a wonderful beach to check out.
Going for a hike on the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and swamps like Green Swamp near Breakneck Pond make for good places to take a look at. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Breakneck Pond. Camping at Camp wabenaki is always a glorious experience, and if you need a spot to stay Howard Johnson Inn is a great choice. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Breakneck Pond. A golf course in close proximity to Breakneck Pond is Minisceongo Golf Club; there are other sites here than Breakneck Pond, for example Lake Askoti.
