New York has many beautiful lakes and Brady Pond is one of them. If you came to camp Hoss's Country Campground is a brilliant place to do that; if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Northville Lake Placid Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Raquette River. Lakes are wonderful; Wilson Pond is a lake that's close to Brady Pond. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming
back time and again. There are some good whitewater spots on Cedar River, and naturally, this is a magnificent vicinity for people who like lakes, Mitchell Ponds is a lake in close proximity.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Camping at Long Lake Camp is always a brilliant experience; on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Sucker Brook Trail. For the period of the warm days of summer at Brady Pond temperatures

are frequently in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows at Brady Pond during the wintertime usually dip into the 0's.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Brady Pond a wet location; most of the rain falls during August while February is commonly the driest month. So much fun stuff to do at Brady Pond, so little time. If you need a place to stay Woodlake Inn is a great choice.

Northville Lake Placid Trail
Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-...

Raquette Lake

It's just Raquette Lake, NOT Raquette Lake Reservoir! And Fort Stanwix is over 80 miles away - why not visit the Adirondack Museum just a 12 mile drive to Blue Mountain Lake?...
