Dry warm beds await you at Wurtsboro - Days Inn, and do take a hike on the Vernooy Falls Trail. Bowers Pond is a wet place that gets lots of precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The Lodge at Rock Hill is a glorious place to get some rest, and why not camp at Rosemond Campground and Motel if you're here at Bowers Pond. Holiday Mountain has good slopes and a friendly                  staff, and there are other places here than Bowers Pond, for example Lake Louise Marie. For you golfers we recommend nearby Lochmor Golf Course. Lakes? Sure, Beaver Lake is close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Neversink River.
