The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Boundary Pond temperatures plunge to the 0's. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Adirondack Mountains. Lakes are such serene locations, why not stop at Military Pond next to Boundary Pond, and on a gorgeous       day you get a tremendous panorama of Goodnow Mountain from Boundary Pond. That right there is loads of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. If you need a location to stay Woodlake Inn is a glorious choice; going for a hike along the Northville Lake Placid Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. The annual precipitation here at Boundary Pond is about average; August is the wettest month with most rain;                  the driest month is February. Whitewater paddling is nice on Indian River, and some of the water close by flows, like Big Sucker Brook. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Mount Pisgah. If only every location had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great planet it would be. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Boundary Pond has to offer, you can camp at Whispering woods; after a long day outdoors Best Western Mountain Lake Inn is a fine spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Cold River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby; if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Indian Pass Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains.
