Go to Boreas Ponds if you want to go to a nice lake. Boreas Ponds is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Boreas Ponds gets a common amount of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Boreas River - Upper, and you can go for a hike on the Van Hoevenberg Trail.

If you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a wonderful choice; everyone nearby loves skiing at Whiteface Mountain.

typically tend to be in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's, and overnight lows at Boreas Ponds during the winter mostly plunge into the 0's. You just can't imagine
the amount of outdoors exciting things the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. Near Boreas Ponds you find the Elk Lake Marcy Trail which is a good hiking trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close
by Upper Ausable Lake.
There's so much to do here at Boreas Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, Shearer's Riverside Campsite is a good place for that; here at Boreas Ponds you can distinguish Moose Mountain. Having a
brilliant time in the Adirondack Mountains is easy. There are some great whitewater spots on John's Brook, and the skiing at Gore Mountain is great.
