If you are in Essex county it's always a good idea to stop by Boreas Ponds. Having a glorious time at Boreas Ponds is trouble-free. The Elk Lake Marcy Trail is a perfect hiking trail in the neighborhood of Boreas Ponds, and Third Pond is a great lake nearby. Going for a hike on the Van Hoevenberg Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and after a long day outdoors Courtyard Lake Placid is a glorious location to spend a night or two. stumble on the Dividing Ridge Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and a magnificent view of striking Moose Mountain is available. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Boreas Ponds, for example Second
Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Boreas Ponds has to offer, you can camp at Shearer's Riverside Campsite. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Very charming scenery and wonderful skiing is what
you get at Whiteface Mountain. Boreas Ponds is a good location of common rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a good choice, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Boreas River - Upper.
