A delightful site to camp here at Boonville Reservoir is Pixley Falls State Park; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Woods Valley is rather near. A splendid close by hotel is Wingate By Wyndham Rome, and camping is available at Stysh's Brown Barn Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. Mohawk River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by, and you'll meet a lot of people from Utica-Rome here. This lake is so wonderful. Jackson Hill is trouble-free
