Dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Inn Suffern, and Spook Rock Golf Course is a great golf course close by. Bockar Lake truly is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. Lakes are such calm places, why not check out Second Reservoir close to Bockar Lake. What a spot this       is for outdoors people. Camping is available at National Camp Assn, and Sterling Forest has good slopes and a friendly staff. Going for a hike on the Woodtown Trail is always a great adventure, and you can hit the slopes at Mt. Peter nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Baker Camp On Lake Sebago is a good place to camp, and there are other sites here than Bockar Lake, for example Third Reservoir. Bockar Lake sees pretty high                  levels of rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Spend the day on the beach at New Sebago Beach while you're here at Bockar Lake, and get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Ramapo River. If you need a spot to stay Candlewood Suites NANUET-ROCKLAND COUNTY is a fine choice; one of the best things about this location is its proximity to Old Sebago Beach. Summer at Bockar Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Bockar Lake.
