This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is glorious here at Bockar Lake, you can go for a hike along the Woodtown Trail, and if you're looking for a beach close by we recommend New Sebago Beach. Have a good hiking adventure along the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail; why not head up to Mt. Peter and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting       mood you can always stop at close by Second Reservoir, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Ramapo River. There's so much to do here at Bockar Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Baker Camp On Lake Sebago is a pleasant spot for that, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Sherwood Path. If you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Inn is a good choice, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Old Sebago Beach. But wait,                  there's more to do next to Bockar Lake. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Sterling Forest. For the period of the summertime highs here at Bockar Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Bockar Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Bockar Lake has to offer, you can camp at National Camp Assn, and on a wonderful day you get a great view of Catamount Mountain from Bockar Lake. Bockar Lake regularly gets a large amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is regularly May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. This place, Bockar Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Golf can be played at Spook Rock Golf Course, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Popolopen Creek.
