From a rainfall point of view Blythea Lake is a reasonably normal location; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Moodna Creek, and going for a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail       will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. You definitely have to have a thing about Blythea Lake. Take a hike on the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail, and naturally, this is a splendid vicinity for folks who like lakes, Blendale Lake is a lake around here. Beaches are glorious; and Old Sebago Beach next to Blythea Lake is no exception; get covered with water paddling on Ramapo River. At Blythea Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 80's with                  night lows in the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are frequently in the 30's, and night lows throughout the winter for Blythea Lake tend to be in the 10's. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Nearby lakes? Sure, Shadowmere Lake is close to Blythea Lake. You can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Sterling Forest, and enjoy a round of golf at The Golf Club at Mansion Ridge. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Stahahe Brook; hiking along the Torne Mount Ivy Trail is brilliant fun. A pleasant close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn/Central Valley, and you can stay the night at Robert Moses. If you need a location to stay Hampton Inn Harriman Woodbury is a great choice, and pleasant skiing awaits you at Mt.
