There's so much to do here at Blythea Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp wabenaki is a magnificent location for that, and a good beach close by is New Sebago Beach. From a rainfall point of view Blythea Lake is a reasonably normal location; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Moodna Creek, and going for a hike along the Pine Meadow Trail

Shadowmere Lake is close to Blythea Lake. You can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Sterling Forest, and enjoy a round of golf at The Golf Club at Mansion Ridge. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by
flows, like Stahahe Brook; hiking along the Torne Mount Ivy Trail is brilliant fun. A pleasant close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn/Central Valley, and you can stay the night at Robert Moses. If you need a location to stay Hampton Inn Harriman Woodbury is a great choice, and pleasant skiing awaits you at Mt. Peter.
