Many people like to go to Blue Mountain Lake. Blue Mountain Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. All the water falling down from the sky makes Blue Mountain Lake a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Mountain Lake is right by the Northville Lake Placid Trail, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cedar
   River.
This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Blue Mountain Lake, do take a spree to Bluff Point. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the neighborhood of Blue Mountain Lake. You could also check out Chub Pond if you're here at Blue Mountain Lake; it's close by; if you came to camp Hoss's Country Campground is a perfect location to do that. After a long day outdoors Woodlake Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two; a pleasant sight

of striking Little Blue Mountain is available.
Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. Hiking along the Sucker Brook Trail is delightful fun, and unsurprisingly Beaver Brook flows through this area. During the summer months highs here at Blue Mountain Lake reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Blue Mountain Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. Blue Mountain Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Long Lake Camp is a splendid local campground, and Raquette River is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby.
So many enjoyable things in the Adirondack Mountains, just remarkable. Looking for something in the vicinity of Blue Mountain Lake? Crystal Lake is around here; a cool spot to stop at is Castle Rock.

Northville Lake Placid Trail
Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-...

Raquette Lake

It's just Raquette Lake, NOT Raquette Lake Reservoir! And Fort Stanwix is over 80 miles away - why not visit the Adirondack Museum just a 12 mile drive to Blue Mountain Lake?...

Hell Diver Pond is a pretty little body of water located in the Moose River Recreation Area of the Adirondacks. The hike back to it is easy and short. Hell Diver is well worth the walk....

Brooktrout Lake

I would like to fish this lake. Wondering about the fishing....Used to fish lake in the 60s.caught lots of trout off that old raft....
