The beauty of Blue Ledge Pond attracts many people from all around. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. If you're here at Blue Ledge Pond, checking out Blue Ledge is a must, and a nice spot for whitewater paddling is Cedar River. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Gore Mountain is just what you need. So many cool things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too good to be true. You can run the rapids of Hudson River in the neighborhood

Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cedar Pond Campground is a great spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Blue Ledge Pond, you could stop by Bell Mountain Brook, and the Indian Pass Trail offers
hiking at its best. Blue Ledge Pond is not the only site nearby, Whortleberry Pond is a nearby lake, and the panorama of Bell Mountain is pretty. Blue Ledge Pond gets a typical amount of precipitation; August is when you get the most
rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime highs at Blue Ledge Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Blue Ledge Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.

 | 16 miles away Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-... |
