Don't leave Bloody Pond without first going for a hike along the Long Swing Trail, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Ticonderoga is a fine place to spend a night or two. From a rain point of view Bloody Pond is a rather normal place; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Short       Swing Trail; probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Hammond Pond is just a very short distance away. Having a fine time in the Adirondack Mountains is uncomplicated. Paddling on Putnam Creek is so much fun. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Bloody Pond has to offer, you can camp at Echo Lake Southwoods. Stay the night at Paradise Pines Camping Resort; at Bloody Pond you can make out Bald Pate. If you want a good time in the great                  outdoors, just come on down to Bloody Pond. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Schroon River, naturally you could also stop at Pine Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. Go for a hike on the Peaked Hill Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites. During the warm days of summer at Bloody Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's.
