The high level of rainfall makes Bliven Pond a pretty wet place; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Camping is available at Twin Brooks Recreation, and after a long day outdoors Balsam Inn is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. Summer at Bliven Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips       down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and night lows in the 10's for Bliven Pond. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Labrador Mountain is right next door to Bliven Pond. Camping at Bowman Lake State Park is always a delightful experience, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Bowman Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
