You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Jiminy Peak since you're here, and you're probably into lakes, Round Pond is one of those nearby. But wait, there's more to do close to Black River Pond. Looking for something in the neighborhood of Black River Pond? Spring Lake is in close proximity. A magnificent close by hotel is Jiminy Peak. There's so  
   much to do here at Black River Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Broken Wheel Campground is a tremendous location for that.
Skiing at Mount Greylock Ski Club is one of those things you just ought to do, and why not visit close by Rocky Brook if you're here at Black River Pond. An average amount of rainfall falls at Black River Pond; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount
 
               of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. The Taconic Skyline Trail offers hiking at its best, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Poesten Kill River.
Black River Pond is right by the Brickhouse Mountain Trail, and some glorious nature is available in Capital District Forest And Game Refuge. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Black River Pond; Southeast Hollow Trail is a delightful local trail, and if you're stopping by from Pittsfield, you won't be the only one. Green River is a glorious whitewater spot next to Black River Pond, and if the weather is pretty, you obtain a good view of Buck Rock from Black River Pond.

You'll need more than a day to look at everything Black River Pond has to offer, you can camp at Alps Family Campground; Jericho Valley Inn is a perfect spot to get some rest. this is a gREAt campground for people with children. They make you feel great about camping. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. I would recomended this campground 110 percent!!!!...alps is the most awesome place to camp.they offer everything and anything there. we saw what they did at the 4th of july and the kids loved it. I advice any parents that have have kids to take them there........they WON'T be disapointed...

If you just need skis for the day the Rental Shop entrance is right next door. Purchase your tickets at the front of Crane Lodge, and sign up for lessons in the lower level of JJ's Lodge. You can make all the stops that you need on your way to the slopes in one convenient area!
