     New York has many beautiful lakes and Black Pond is one of them. Here at Black Pond you'll perhaps meet some folks from Malone, and Black Pond is a great spot to camp, Blue Jay Campsites is a great spot. Be careful coming to Black Pond, you might not ever wanna go home again. Bridge Brook Pond is a pleasant lake close to Black Pond; going for a hike along the Big Deer Pond Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Not enough hours in a  
   day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Black Pond a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is August while February is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Black Bay is in close proximity and always delightful to explore. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Black Pond has to offer, you can camp at Whispering woods. Round Lake Outlet has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot
 
               close by, and do take a hike on the Ash Pond Trail.
But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bog River, and hiking along the Sixmile Creek Trail is pleasant fun. At Black Pond through the days of summer highs are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are typically in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Black Pond. Black Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains.
