Black Pond gets a typical amount of rainfall; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. People from Hudson love to come to Black Pond, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Burden Lake Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Black Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day       at, Alps Family Campground is a brilliant local campground, and don't leave Black Pond without first going for a hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail. All the outdoors cool things close to Black Pond will keep you coming back many times. Squaw Swamp is an interesting swamp in the neighborhood of Black Pond. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! Black Pond is great! Black Pond is not the only place nearby, Stone Bridge Pond is a nearby lake; don't                  forget to take a good little trip to Huff Brook. At Black Pond through the warm months highs are in the 80's, and the night is slightly colder of course, commonly in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are usually in the 30's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Black Pond tend to be in the 10's. There's nice hiking along the Turner Trail, and after a long day outdoors Jiminy Peak is a glorious place to spend a night or two. The panorama of stunning Bald Hill near Black Pond is brilliant, and there are splendid locations to explore along the Taconic Skyline Trail. If you need a site to stay A B&B in the Berkshires is a nice choice; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Jiminy Peak is rather near.
