Hit the slopes at Mount Pisgah close by; camping is available at Donaldson George A and Sons. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Adirondack Mountains. There are other locations here than Black Pond, for example Long Pond; dry warm beds await you at THE HOTEL SARANAC. Black Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. There is a great hiking trail       close to Black Pond called the McKenzie Pond Trail, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Meacham Lake Outlet. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Black Pond. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are typically in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Black Pond are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Titus Mountain, and Black Pond is a site with many visitors from Malone. St. Regis River - Middle Branch has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby, and North Bay is pretty close. This lake is so wonderful. You get a good view of Jenkins Mountain from Black Pond, and a nice spot to camp here at Black Pond is Camp Cherokee.
