You can make out Little Hurd Hill from Black Pond, and lots of people from Malone come here. This lake is so wonderful. Black Pond is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Santa Clara Riverside RV Park and Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby, and why not stop by close by Conger Brook if you're here at Black Pond. This is no location for people who don’t like to       have fun. Get yourself into a kayak and hit St. Regis River - Middle Branch. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Black Pond has to offer, you can camp at Deer River Campsites. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Malone, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on St. Regis River - East Branch. Throughout the warm months here at Black Pond, high temperatures typically get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.                  All through the winter the highs are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Black Pond dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Black Pond is a good spot of common precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. Econo Lodge Malone is a splendid location to get some rest, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Titus Mountain while you're here.
