Black Pond gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; during August this area sees the most rain; January is when it's the driest. That right there is a heap of exciting things already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. Nearby lakes? Sure, Whey Pond is near Black Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Meacham Lake       Outlet, and Black Pond is a pleasant location to visit for more than one day, Camp Cherokee is a pleasant location to camp nearby. Really great skiing awaits you at Mount Pisgah, and there are swamps here too, Deer Pond Marsh is in close proximity. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Black Pond. If you come at the right time of year, St. Regis River - Middle Branch offers some glorious whitewater, and you can stay the night at Blue Jay Campsites.                  The warmest time of the year at Black Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Black Pond. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. If you need a site to stay Woodlake Inn is a great choice, and if you've had enough of Black Pond, Copperas Pond is close by.
