    What a nice lake Black Pond is. Black Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. The Van Hoevenberg Trail is a great hiking trail near Black Pond; Little Santanoni Mountain can be seen from Black Pond. You definitely must like the Adirondack Mountains. If the weather is brilliant here at Black Pond, you can go for a hike along the McKenzie Pond Trail, and a quick visit to Santanoni Brook is without doubt a pleasant idea.
Throughout the summertime months
 
   at Black Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; night lows at Black Pond during the wintertime generally fall into the 0's. A nice nearby hotel is THE HOTEL SARANAC; you can never get enough of the fine skiing at Gore Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Donaldson George A and Sons is always a good experience, and skiing at Mount Pisgah is one of those things you  
               just must do.
This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Black Pond, you could also take a look at nearby Shaw Pond, and a pleasant place for whitewater paddling is Boreas River - Upper. Man, is there lots of enjoyable stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Black Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Pioneer Village is a fine local campground, and get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Cold River. An average amount of rain falls at Black Pond; most of the rain falls through August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
That right there is heaps already, but it continues; Black Pond has it all. If you need a place to stay Best Western Mountain Lake Inn is a glorious choice, and going for a hike along the Indian Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
