And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting things just keep reading. Gotta ski! Gore Mountain is a perfect location to do that, and get covered with water paddling on Boreas River. The warmest time of the year at Black Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are frequently in the 20's with temperatures at Black Pond dipping down       into the 0's through winter nights. There's so much to do here at Black Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Smoke Rise Campsites is a tremendous location for that; you can go for a hike on the Van Hoevenberg Trail. These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Black Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Ideal Campsites is a glorious local campground, and paddling on Boreas River - Upper                  is so much fun. Black Pond is a good site of common rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains. One of the principal highlights of the surroundings of Black Pond is Hewitt Pond Mountain; Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Mud Pond near Black Pond, it's a picturesque lake, and let's not forget Hewitt Pond Brook which is a stream that you may run into while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. There are glorious sites to look at along the Dividing Ridge Trail; if you need a place to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is a great choice.
