The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Black Mountain Ponds. Lakes are tremendous; Hotwater Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Black Mountain Ponds, and going for a hike along the Elk Lake Marcy Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. You're probably interested in lakes, Pug Hole is one of those nearby, and Black Mountain Ponds is good enough to spend more than a day at, Smoke Rise Campsites is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Indian Pass Trail is pleasant fun; here at Black Mountain Ponds you can make out Black Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is a great choice. This place, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting things.
