Do take a look at Cayuga Lake right next door to Black Lake, it's a gorgeous lake, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Montezuma Marsh is right close by. So many enjoyable things to do here at Black Lake, too pleasant to be true. Owasco River is a great whitewater spot near Black Lake; Cayuga Lake State Park is a splendid local campground. Summertime at Black Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, regularly

| | in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Black Lake. While you're here at Black Lake, you could also stop by striking Van Cleef Lake, and Twin Oaks Campgrounds is a nice campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. During your visit to Black Lake you'll meet some folks from Seneca Falls for sure, and after a long day outdoors Microtel Inn and Suites Seneca Falls is a nice place to spend a night | |

or two. Enjoy a round of golf at Silver Creek Golf Club not far from Black Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Hotel Clarence is a pleasant choice. Black Lake is a good place of common precipitation; through the month of November you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February.

Lake Bluff Campground
 | 18 miles away I am staying at Lake Bluff Campground right now! It is so nice and peaceful. We don't have a camper and are renting one of the cabins. The owners are very nice and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here. FYI. It has been very hot outside so we brought an extra fan. However, I put a fan on the porch and it was nice and cool! Plus you can go take a dip in the pool right next door!... |
