This lake is so wonderful. The Elk Lake Marcy Trail offers hiking at its best. While you're here at Bird Pond, you could also take a look at wonderful Martin Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Bird Pond; Oregon Trail is a brilliant local trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Bird Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Ideal Campsites is a nice place for that, and after       a long day outdoors Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. And that's not all you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Spectacle Pond Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Lake George Resort. During the long summer days here at Bird Pond, high temperatures usually get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to                  the 20's while the cold winter nights at Bird Pond are in the 0's. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Bird Pond has it all. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Mill Creek. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Bird Pond has to offer, you can camp at Smoke Rise Campsites. So much amusing stuff in the Adirondack Mountains, just amazing. The top of Collins Mountain is easily made out from Bird Pond; there are some great whitewater spots on Hudson River. Bird Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Skiing at Gore Mountain is one of those things you just should do, and do take a look at Moxham Pond, it's a pretty lake.
