     Going for a hike on the Post Henderson Trail is always a fine adventure, and Sunday Creek is in the vicinity of Bills Pond and is always a bliss to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something next to Bills Pond? Francis Lake is nearby, and close by you discover the Norridge Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. The snow is fine at Snow Ridge, and Bills Pond is a perfect place to visit for more than  
   one day, Cold Brook Campsites is a perfect place to camp nearby. There is a great hiking trail close to Bills Pond called the Salmon Lake Trail.
The amount of rain that falls at Bills Pond is close to the national average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by McCauley Mountain, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone
 
               but if it's for you then, we recommend Beaver River. Nearby lakes? Sure, Beaver Lake is near Bills Pond. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Bills Pond has to offer, you can camp at Singing waters Campground.

85 years ago my mother who lived in Brooklyn spent her vacations at Lake Twitchell,she said once she went to the adirondacks she never went back to the catskills. I got up this morning and thought of her conversations about the lake and decided to look it up, I hope it's still as beautiful as she described it so many years ago,I still have her snap shots....
