Take a hike on the Dividing Ridge Trail, and camping at Ideal Campsites is always a delightful experience. Big Sherman Pond gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month is February. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Elk Lake Marcy Trail, and Big Sherman Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Smoke Rise Campsites is a great local campground. Big Sherman Pond       is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. High temperatures at Big Sherman Pond throughout the summertime months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Big Sherman Pond tend to be in the 0's. Gore Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff; in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boreas                  River. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Big Sherman Pond.
