Summertime highs at Big Rock Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Big Rock Lake. Lakes? Sure, Snag Lake is in the vicinity, and you can run the rapids of Indian River. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Pine Lake Campground       and RV Park, and going for a hike on the California Trail is always a great adventure. Big Rock Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Browns Tract Pond State Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Little Rock Lake. Be careful coming to Big Rock Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Big Rock Vly is a swamp close to Big Rock Lake, and you can go                  for a hike on the Twin Lakes Trail. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. A fine panorama of pretty Signal Mountain is available from Big Rock Lake, and there's whitewater on West Canada Creek - South Branch for all you thrill seekers. Big Rock Lake gets a lot of water; through August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains.
