For the duration of the summertime at Big Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly in the 20's while Big Pond nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. Big Pond mostly gets a lot       of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is regularly the driest month. If the weather is delightful here at Big Pond, you can go for a hike along the Peenpack Trail, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Inn At Hunt's Landing is a good location to spend a night or two. Any time is a great time at Big Pond if you go for the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend                  Neversink River; why not camp at Oakland Valley Campgrounds since you're here at Big Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Mountain Creek is one of those things you just should do. Very lovely scenery and brilliant skiing is what you get at Holiday Mountain, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Prospect Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Long Swamp near Big Pond make for great locations to go to; the Lost Cabin Trail is a good hiking trail nearby.
