Sure, North Pond is nearby; if you like skiing, you're in luck; McCauley Mountain is quite near. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Moose River; going for a hike on the Stone Dam Trail is always a wonderful adventure. Cold Brook Campsites is a fine local campground, and delightful hiking is available along the Forty Mountain Trail. Why not camp at Singing waters Campground if you're       here at Big Otter Lake, and don't forget to take a nice little trip to Lost Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Moose River - Middle Branch is a delightful whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Big Otter Lake, and the skiing at Snow Ridge is delightful. But wait, there's more to do near Big Otter Lake. There are other sites here than Big Otter Lake, for example West Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Twin Lakes Trail.
