Head up to Gore Mountain and strap some skis to your feet; while you're here you can take a hike along the Peaked Hill Trail. Big Marsh Pond gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Adirondack Mountains rocks! Going       for a hike along the Dix Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; Shearer's Riverside Campsite is a fine campground nearby. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Big Marsh Pond. The top of LeClair Hill is easily observed from Big Marsh Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Lake Placid. There are some good whitewater spots on The Branch, and if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend                  Jones Beach. Visit Niagara Brook if you're here at Big Marsh Pond. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun things the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. A lake nearby is Little Marsh Pond, and there's whitewater on Schroon River for all you thrill seekers. On a wonderful day at Big Marsh Pond you can take a hike along the Stimson Trail; you can stay the night at Paradise Pines Camping Resort. At Big Marsh Pond during the summer highs are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 20's while Big Marsh Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
