Big Five is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Oswegatchie River - East Branch, and close by you stumble on the Post Henderson Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a great time. Why not explore close by Buck Brook since you're here at Big Five, and you can hit the slopes at McCauley Mountain in close proximity.

| | Newton Falls Hotel is a magnificent location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day you acquire a panorama of Panther Mountain from Big Five. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Big Five has to offer, you can camp at Cape Woods Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Big Five without first paying a visit to Griffin Rapids, and after a long day outdoors Stone Manor is a good site to spend a night or two. | |

This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. All the outdoors fun things in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Oswegatchie River - East
Branch, and going for a hike on the The Loop is always a tremendous adventure. You could also explore Big Shallow if you're here at Big Five; it's nearby, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Salmon Lake Trail. Throughout
the warmest time of the year at Big Five temperatures are commonly in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Big Five.
Big Five gets a typical amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This place is so good, just
explore all the cool things to do in close proximity to Big Five. Stay the night at Robinson's Iga, and Big Five is a site with many visitors from Ogdensburg-Massena.
