    Beautiful Big Burnt Lake has much to offer visitors. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Big Burnt Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Big Burnt Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. And if that's not enough there's heaps more cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Go for a hike on the Big Deer Pond Trail; a wonderful  
   place to camp here at Big Burnt Lake is Nicks Lake Campgrounds. The high level of rain makes Big Burnt Lake a pretty wet place; August is the month that gets the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. Gun Harbor is close to Big Burnt Lake and is a glorious site to explore, and a magnificent place for whitewater paddling is Beaver River. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Salmon Lake Trail is always
 
               a great adventure. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
Be careful coming to Big Burnt Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. You can run the rapids of Oswegatchie River - East Branch next to Big Burnt Lake, and unsurprisingly Gun Harbor Brook flows through this region. You'll locate a stunning lake called Mud Lake near Big Burnt Lake, and camping at OLD Forge Camping Resort is always a great experience. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. There are plenty of people from Ogdensburg-Massena here at Big Burnt Lake, and there are great sites to look at along the Norridge Trail.
Lakes are such calm sites, why not have a look at Loon Lake close to Big Burnt Lake, and you can hit the slopes at McCauley Mountain in the neighborhood.
