    If you like lakes and you're in this part of New York you can check out Big Burnt Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. So many enjoyable things to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Burnt Lake; Norridge Trail is a great local trail, and drift down the rapids of Oswegatchie River - East Branch in a kayak. Big Burnt Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month  
   of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Big Burnt Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cape Woods Campground is a great spot for that; you are near Gun Harbor while you're here. At Big Burnt Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the
 
               wintertime are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Big Burnt Lake. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Big Burnt Lake. The Big Deer Pond Trail offers hiking at its best; let's not forget Gun Harbor Brook which is a stream that you may bump into while here.
This spot, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. The snow is good at McCauley Mountain, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Beaver River. If you came to camp Singing waters Campground is a great place to do that, and there are plenty of folks from Ogdensburg-Massena here. Best Western Sunset Inn is a pleasant site to get some rest, and there's magnificent hiking along the Salmon Lake Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful lake like Loon Lake near Big Burnt Lake is a great place to stop by.
