Bennett Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Schroon River. Lakes are tremendous; Lily Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Bennett Pond. You're in all probability hooked on lakes, Island Pond is one of those close by, and Blue Lagoon on Lake Georg is a magnificent place to get some rest.       The amount of rain that falls at Bennett Pond is close to the national average; August is when you get the most rain here; January on the other hand is the driest. So much fun stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too nice to be true. The skiing at Gore Mountain is good; this is a popular place for people from Glens Falls. And if that's not sufficient, there's loads more to do near Bennett Pond. The Spectacle Pond Trail offers hiking at its best; if                  you come at the right time of year, Schroon River offers some nice whitewater. Man, is there a heap of entertaining things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Hiking along the Short Swing Trail is wonderful fun, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; West Mountain is relatively near. Bennett Pond is right by the Pharoah Mountain Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Point O' Pines is a glorious place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. A fine nearby hotel is The Sagamore, and camping is available at Hidden Pond Campsite. At Bennett Pond throughout the days of summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's.
