Bell Mountain Pond is always a pleasure to visit. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. The vista of picturesque Bell Mountain near Bell Mountain Pond is great. Campground, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Gore Mountain. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Bell Mountain Pond. There are delightful sites to discover
along the Northville Lake Placid Trail; get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Cedar River. You're perhaps keen on lakes, Big Bad Luck Pond is one of those nearby, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Mountain Lake Inn is a fine choice. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains.

Northville Lake Placid Trail
 | 15 miles away Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-... |
