Beaverdam Pond is a pretty wet place typically with lots of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Neversink River - East Branch. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining things just keep reading. Head up to Belleayre       and strap some skis to your feet, and after a long day outdoors Nevele Grande Resort is a perfect place to spend a night or two. A delightful nearby hotel is The Lodge at Rock Hill, and pleasant hiking is available along the Vernooy Falls Trail. Summertime highs at Beaverdam Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Beaverdam Pond                  temperatures fall to the 10's. If you're here at Beaverdam Pond, you could stop at Red Brook; if you come at the right time of year, Neversink River - West Branch offers some tremendous whitewater. South Hill can be made out from Beaverdam Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Beaverdam Pond; Kanape Jeep Trail is a delightful local trail. Stay the night at Skyway Campgrounds, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Holiday Mountain. This lake is so wonderful.
