Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Beaverdam Pond is great! Nicks Lake Campgrounds is a glorious campground nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Salmon Lake Trail. Don't leave Beaverdam Pond without first going for a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail, and skiing at McCauley Mountain is one of those       things you just should do. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Little Falls; Thendara Golf Club is a brilliant golf course nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Beaverdam Pond a wet place; through August this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Moose River - South                  Branch, and if you came for an overnight stay OLD Forge Camping Resort is a delightful place to camp. These mountains rock, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. There's whitewater on Black River - South Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers; one of the overriding features of the surroundings of Beaverdam Pond is Fernow Mountain. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. Summertime highs at Beaverdam Pond generally tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is a bit chillier of course, typically in the 50's.
